If you're just starting out to crochet, you're in the right place! If you're experienced with crochet and just looking for some great ideas and inspiration, then that's great too!
I get quite a few comments from people asking for stitch tutorials, asking to learn the basics, or asking for videos. Now, I do try to make a tutorial when I can, but crochet and blogging are both hobbies, and not my full time job. I honestly wouldn't know where to begin making a video for you guys! However, there are some really great videos out there on youtube already. So hop on over there and search for the stitch or step that you want to learn, and I am confident that you'll find some videos out there that can help you.
Also, I wanted to include a list of really helpful books and links to help you get going. If you're really stuck, one of the best things you can do is look up your local yarn shop (not one of the big craft chains) and go ask them for advice and help! Joining a knit/crochet group can be VERY helpful if you're learning or improving your skill.I've even taught people to crochet via skype, so go out and find someone who already knows the skill to be your mentor.
I'm a big fan of all the free resources out there, and happy to share them. However, the books I've listed are the ones that I feel are worth the investment. Either I keep coming back to them because they're awesome, or they have given me so much inspiration over the years that they are "must haves" in my book!
